The 50N jackets and vests are buoyancy aids intended for seaside activity and do not assure self-righting. Although approved in France as a 5th and 6th grade safety armament, these jackets are intended primarily for sporting use sailing dinghies, kayaking, sailboards, jet ski etc. For children under 30 kg only 100 N lifejackets are approved.
